Male perfumes
What perfumes did our fathers and grandfathers use? Chipres are still alive: spicy Chipre Pour Monsieur (Chanel, 1955), leather Chipre Aramis (Aramis, 1965), green Chipre Polo (Ralph Lauren, 1978), wooden-leather ChipreYatagan (Caron, 1976), wood balafre (Lancome). The classics can justify itself even without the massed advertising - in fact at that time creation of each perfume took about 3-5 years!
Sweet perfumes were also popular. Laurel-honey Paco Rabanne pour homme (1973), lavander-anisic Azzaro pour homme (1978), hairy and brawny Jules and Kouros (Yves Saint-Laurent, 1980-1981) - none of them remind female aroma.
Cologne theme - Armani pour homme (1984) or Eau Sauvage (Dior, 1966) - is less exacting to character of the owner. Sports and fresh character of colognes will approach not only to boxers, but also to chess players. Classics Signoricci 2 (Ricci, 1976) or Eau de Guerlain (1974), as well as Trophee (Lancome) is a universal perfume.
In XXI century aromas for the macho are not so popular - but they can be found. Bois d`Ombrie (Eau d`Italie, 2007), Rien (Etat Libre d`Orange, 2006) or Fvmidvs (Profumo Durante, 2006) - are the examples samples of macho style. Dry perfume Chene (Serge Lutens) or tobacco perfume Tabarome Private Collection (Creed) personify courage and pride.
